- Jane M. Mason
- ... creates artwork primarily through painting, drawing, photography and fiber arts. She specializes in watercolor. Her artwork is in collections across North America and abroad. She has traveled extensively throughout the US and Europe, and lived in Florence, Italy, as well as the Midwest.
- A graduate of University of Nebraska, in Fine Arts, Family & Consumer Science and Journalism, she has extensive training in watercolor and art. Artists studied under include: Jim Alinder, Gerald Brommer, Antonioni Catelina, Carol Carter, Cheng-Khee Chee, Joe Fettingus, Frank Francese, Lois Gruberger, Keith Jacobshagen, Paul Jackson, Margaret Keller, Nita Leland, Zenaide Luhr, Steven Quiller and Janet Walsh.
- Ms. Mason is the former president of the 200+ member Saint Louis Watercolor Society and of Greater St. Louis Art Association. She teaches watercolor classes in Missouri and Minnesota and has conducted demos and workshops across the country. A member or signature member of regional and national arts groups, she shows her work in galleries and retail locations. Her studio/gallery is at The Foundry Art Center, 230 South Main Street, St. Charles, Missouri. She is also represented by American Visions Contemporary Crafts, 9854 Manchester, St Louis, Missouri.
- Her work has been featured in numerous magazines and her articles have been published in Watercolor Magic, and The Artist's Magazine, with over 14 articles in the publication or on the online magazine.
- Ms. Mason's work explores connectedness. Her goal is to emphasize our shared experiences rather than our differences. She accomplishes this by using her art to speak from her compassionate, animated voice about beauty, color, light, friendship, and the gifts of creation we all share. It is spiritual, joyful, uplifting and challenging work.
- She was named one of the 200 outstanding artists of the 20th Century by the International Biographical Center, Cambridge, England and has been included in Who's Who in America and Who's Who in American Art.
- "The world in all its nuances is a gift. My joy is bringing the beauty of the world into focus for my students. I teach my students to see," said Ms. Mason.
- Ms. Mason considers her abilities to be sacred gifts from God. She is blessed to have art as a voice to sing simple, pretty, colorful songs in art.
- A portion of all proceeds from her sales is donated to charities benefiting children.
