Mary Jane Cox has over 30 years experience in professional watercolor painting. and has received considerable acclaim as a watercolor impressionist. Southwest Art Magazine has reviewed her work with a published painting and Rockport Publishers featured her work in their 1997 Best of Watercolor #2. Mary, Jane was featured as "Member of the Issue," in North Light Magazine with an article and pictures. The October, 2000, issue of American Artists Watercolor Magazine carries a review of her work.
Her publishing credits include Bridge the Gap, a home workshop book,and The Artist's Organizing Manual, also, published articles in Art Calendar Magazine. She has recently written, illustrated and published aseries of six children's story,/color books under the title of, The Adventures of Billy-Bob Bear, based on a black bear that resides in the Baton Rouge Zoo.
Mary Jane is represented by, four professional art galleries two states and her works hang in many public and private collections in the USA as well as other countries.
She paints an average of 100 works a year, judges art shows, and instructs watercolor workshops and seminars, nationwide.
Mary Jane is a member of 16 Watercolor Societies. She is a signature member of six and a member of the National League of American Pen Women in arts and letters. She Is the 2001, 2002 President of Southern Watercolor Society, which covers 18 states
