Artist Statement:

 

My identity as an artist has evolved over a period of 50 years. My art is about conveying the beauty that abounds in our natural world. The paintings hopefully depict the extraordinary in the ordinary around us. I prefer experimenting with all mediums to accomplish this, finding watercolor to be the most exciting. It is the most unpredictable and challenging of all mediums, full of spontaneity & delightful surprises.

 

I have a great love of color, shapes and texture, and also use acrylics, inks, collage & pastel to convey this. Each painting is singular and special. Occasionally, I go back

to my first medium, oils.

 

I stay forever focused and entertained with this happy choice in my life, a commitment to exploration and creativity.
