| Patsy Sharpe Artist Bio and Statement I have been a serious student of painting, pottery and sculpture for the past ten years, having completed all the art classes related to the study of fine art at Austin Peay State University. I am currently pursuing independent study under various instructors. Organizations in which I am active, other than SW, include the Tennessee Watercolor Society, the Hopkinsville Art Guild, the Tennessee Art League, the Colored Pencil Society of America, the Miniature Art Society of Florida, the American Watercolor Society and the Transparent Watercolor Society. I have been accepted into juried shows in the Tennessee Watercolor Society, and accepted and received awards in the Tennessee Art League and the Hopkinsville Art Guild. I have also been juried into the Renaissance Center Annual Exhibit for two consecutive years. I have a deep love for art that has currently led me into teaching watercolor classes in the town in which I live and urges me to seek ever new methods and techniques for the expression of myself through art. My goal is to provide a beautiful space full of nature at its best and a reprieve from the world around us. If I can provide that oasis, I have achieved my goal |
