Wendy Myers, a watercolor artist presently residing in Western North Carolina, first studied art at the Indiana University of Pennsylvania, where she also earned a bachelor's degree in marketing. She has studied with accomplished artists, including Judy Morris and Ron Ranson. Wendy, an avid student of life, enjoyed careers in both aviation (as a pilot ) and as a master equestrian before pursuing her painting on a full-time basis.

"I am fortunate that my rich professional life provided me with many years and multiple locations to pursue life's sights from differing perspectives. Flying high above towns and vistas developed my imagination as I wondered what life would be like there, or there, or there. My horses taught me well that approaching an object from one direction never prepares you to see it from another!
My paintings, while realistic, are not photo realistic. I enjoy leaving just enough outside my work to allow those sharing it to complete a picture's moment in their own minds and hearts. My watercolors depict the life I most enjoy...the people and animals I meet, landscapes, and town scenes."

Wendy has been featured successfully in numerous juried shows and exhibits in diverse venues, including The Annual National Watercolor and Pastel Show in Bend, Oregon, The Merrimon Galleries Watercolor Exhibit in Asheville, NC, Starbucks Coffee House, Roberts Field, and ongoing exhibits in galleries and shops across the nation. She painted the primary advertising poster art for the 2003 J Bar J's annual High Desert Horse Show in Bend, OR and has had her work printed in Cascades Art and Entertainment. She has enjoyed representations by galleries in Oregon, Nevada, and North Carolina. She is available for commissioned work, having recently finished a body of work for Camp Greystone, one of North Carolina's oldest and most beloved summer camps in the quaint town of Tuxedo.
Wendy is represented by Merrimon Galleries in Asheville, NC and Framing Arts in Hendersonville, NC.
