Kentucky artist Tom Poole paints primarily in watercolor and watermedia. He has studied with some of the best artists in the world and considers Cheng-Khee Chee to be his mentor. Tom's work has been accepted in many regional and national exhibitions including the Kentucky Aqueous Show and the Louisiana International Exhibition. He is a member of the Louisiana Watercolor Society, the Southern Watercolor Society and a regional director of the Kentucky Watercolor Society.

Tom's art has a strong emphasis on design and color. His florals and landscapes are exciting and colorful bringing joy to the viewer. His figural and portrait paintings tend to be more contemplative and invite the viewer to be quietly drawn into the painting.

He says, "My art is intended to be sensual, poetic and in some way a small look into the soul. If art is meaningful to the creator it will be meaningful to the viewer."

Tom Poole's work is in many private and corporate collections and one of his paintings with a Civil War theme is in the collection of the Lincoln Museum, Hodgenville, Kentucky.

His work is represented by Memphis Marsha's Gallery and Art Classes in Bowling Green, Kentucky and he occasionally teaches watercolor classes and painting on rice paper classes for Memphis Marsha's.

Tom resides in Bowling Green, Kentucky. He received his education at Western Kentucky University and the University of Kentucky.
